BrainChild proudly introduces its latest smartphone-like controller, combining a modern touchscreen interface with slide navigation and built-in intelligence to meet most industrial control needs.

The controller delivers advanced features such as dual setpoints, 2-Factor USB authorization, scheduled profiles, countdown timers, and setpoint ramp rates, with easy setup via a PC-based configurator and USB import/export.

Connectivity includes VNC remote access, secure email (SSL/TLS), SMS, FTP, FileWeb, DataWeb, and Modbus RTU over Serial/TCP/IP. Expansion options include a DIN rail I/O expander and the SIO-8AIU 8-channel analog input module.

For security and compliance, it provides 4 security levels, audit trails, and digital signatures, along with math/logic/timer functions, 19 programmable alarms, a live trend display, and built-in paperless recording. Supporting up to 3 control loops (static, profile, cascade) — with one as an FM limit controller — it sets a new benchmark for flexible and reliable process control.

Touch Screen User Interface

4.3” touch screen operates like your favorite smart phone or tablet. Menu or slide-navigation allows the user to treat screens, options and functionality like“apps” on their PC or favorite smart device. Familiar gestures like touch scroll lists (text or text with buttons) and notifications provide instant access to all system data from any screen for quick entry and selection of control functions. Standard toolbar provides common access to menus, help, home, alarms and notifications from all screens.

Process Control Module(LOOP CONTROL)

Up to 3 loops of control, with up to 4 outputs per process control module. Control logic includes static, profile and cascade control with adaptive fuzzy logic and PID control (5 sets) for each control loop module. Multi-processor design provides immediate response for control and touch screen operations.

Profile Program Entry And Control

The MCT includes an advanced profiler with ramp, soak, jump, cycle, hold and event functions for each step. Up to 64 steps per profile with a virtually unlimited number of profiles included as standard (8GB max). “One Touch” program entry provides all functions on a single screen using familiar touch scroll lists for setpoint entry and option settings.
Program slide out windows allow the user to select and operate programs without losing focus on the
background window which reduces screen clutter and learning curves.

Data Logging

Data logging of all process variables comes standard with 8GB of storage. Users can configure filename, lot number, batch number, log interval, and days to log directly from the front touch screen. Program log control allows easy start/stop logging using the automated programmer, with the program name automatically applied as the datalog name. An “Always Logging” option ensures 24/7 operation, while the “Days To Log” setting keeps files aligned with product cycles and data size manageable.

Connectivity

The MCT offers versatile connectivity to ensure seamless system integration and reliable data communication. Equipped with Com1 (RS232/485) and Com2 (RS485) serial ports, the controller supports a wide range of industrial devices. Its 10/100 baseT Ethernet interface provides fast network access, while a USB host port simplifies configuration and data management. Supporting Modbus master and slave protocols simultaneously over both serial and Ethernet TCP/IP, the MCT guarantees flexible communication options for complex control systems and ensures compatibility with existing networks.

Remote Control and Monitoring

A built-in VNC server enables users to monitor and control the system from a PC, smartphone, or tablet — anytime, anywhere. The integrated web server provides monitor-only access, ensuring secure and convenient real-time visibility from any smart device. These features make it an ideal solution for facilities requiring continuous monitoring and rapid response without being confined to a control room.
