Otobro Unveils Next-Generation Autonomous Warehousing Solution “HaiPick System 5 (HPS5)” – Taiwan Debut of Industry-Leading Robotic Technologies

Taiwan’s leading automation brand, Taiwan Otobro Technology Co., Ltd. (otobro), has officially launched its next-generation autonomous warehousing solution, HaiPick System 5 (HPS5). Alongside HPS5, otobro is showcasing several cutting-edge technologies, including the four-directional shuttle, compact 3D sorting system, and ARB sorting robot. This product launch marks the latest achievement in the deepened collaboration between otobro and HAI ROBOTICS, the global leader in box-picking robotics, further underscoring otobro’s technical strength as the exclusive certified distributor of HAI ROBOTICS in Taiwan.

HPS5 integrates "free-to-roam" robot design with the intelligent scheduling platform HAIQ, forming a highly efficient and fully flexible warehousing system of the future. Featuring the industry’s first “rapid-climbing” architecture, each robot is capable of both ground navigation and vertical climbing, as well as curved and diagonal movement. Live demonstrations revealed the robot’s ability to autonomously complete a sequence of tasks—such as positioning, lifting, and bin docking—with enhanced smoothness and stability. Paired with an ergonomically optimized desktop workstation, operators only need to perform five simple actions—pick, scan, check, place, and press—to complete the picking and sorting process, with most staff becoming proficient in under 10 minutes.

In terms of space utilization, HPS5 achieves a storage density of up to 37.5 bins per square meter, with racking heights supported up to 12 meters. Weighing just 75 kg, the system significantly reduces floor load requirements and shortens deployment time to under 3 months, which is 30% faster than traditional systems. Intelligent algorithms—such as return-while-picking, heat-based bin reordering, curved path driving, and 3D obstacle avoidance—are fully integrated, delivering up to 30% improvement in single-unit efficiency, and reducing overall robot count by more than 20%, effectively lowering energy and maintenance costs.
