Taiwan’s Otobro Technology Launches HPC and Four New Smart Logistics Devices
Taiwan’s leading automation brand, Otobro Technology Co., Ltd., held its Smart Logistics System Launch Event on June 27, officially unveiling its next-generation autonomous warehousing solution — HaiPick Climb (HPC). At the same time, it showcased four advanced devices including a four-directional shuttle, compact vertical sorter, and ARB sorter, marking the latest milestone in its deepened collaboration with global tote-handling robotics leader Hai Robotics, and underscoring Otobro’s technical capabilities as the sole certified and authorized partner of Hai Robotics in Taiwan.
(Figure 1) The ground-deployed otobro high-speed climbing robot is ready to launch, enhancing warehouse flexibility and responsiveness.
HPC features an industry-first “Free Movement Climbing Robot” architecture, integrated with Hai Robotics' HAIQ intelligent scheduling platform, to deliver a future-ready warehousing system that balances maximum efficiency with full operational flexibility. The system allows a single robot to travel horizontally and climb vertically, as well as navigate curves and diagonals — a breakthrough in warehouse robot mobility. Live demonstrations showed the robot performing a seamless sequence of actions — locating, lifting, box picking, and departing — with enhanced speed and stability. Paired with an ergonomically optimized desktop workstation, operators need only five simple steps — Pick, Scan, View, Place, Confirm — to complete the picking and sorting process, which can be mastered by new staff in under ten minutes.

In terms of space efficiency, HPC supports a storage density of up to 30 bins per square meter, with track-supported racking heights up to 12 meters. Each robot weighs just 75 kilograms, reducing floor load requirements and shortening deployment timelines to under three months — over 30% faster than conventional systems. The system also incorporates intelligent algorithms such as Simultaneous Return & Pick, Heat-based Bin Optimization, Curved Navigation, and 3D Obstacle Avoidance, boosting single-robot efficiency by up to 30% and cutting overall robot requirements by over 20%, which significantly lowers energy use and maintenance costs.
(Figure 3) The otobro high-speed climbing robot ascends steadily along the track, swiftly delivering totes to the designated height.
The HPS5 system has already been successfully adopted by leading brands in apparel, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics, including several global Top 10 enterprises. According to Otobro General Manager Ryan Lai, “HPC is a concrete realization of our vision for the future of smart logistics. We will continue our close collaboration with Hai Robotics and work with both local and global partners to drive warehousing technology upgrades, helping businesses in Taiwan and worldwide transition into a high-efficiency, sustainable logistics era.”
