This project is executed by the Taiwan Instrument Research Institute, commissioned by the National Science Technology Council. It brings together academic and research teams, combining professors with expertise in intelligent manufacturing/semiconductors with those specialized in information security, to conduct interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition to developing information security detection and protection technologies for intelligent manufacturing and advanced semiconductor processes, the project also aims to train professionals in cross-domain industrial control security technologies. Furthermore, it also conducts attack and defense exercises in industrial control security environments to assist the industry in enhancing information security for the Internet of Things (IoT) and intelligent manufacturing/semiconductor processes.

This project promotes the adoption of the IEC 62443 international standards by academic and research teams to enhance information security in industrial control environments. All participating teams have passed international industrial control security certifications, collectively obtaining a total of 8 international certificates. During the project execution, hundreds of high-level personnel specializing in both intelligent manufacturing and information security have been trained. The project has resulted in 10 industrial applications, including technology transfers, intellectual property licensing, and industry-academia collaboration projects, successfully extending the outcomes of this project to the industry and enhancing its original economic values.
