Unlike requirements for microscopes in fields such as biology, semiconductor wafer inspection applications demand microscopic imaging systems to exhibit consistent imaging quality across all positions of the entire FOV, while possessing as large a F.N. as possible to meet high-precision, high-speed application requirements. Large field number microscope objectives and matching tube lenses have been developed to meet these needs.
1. Large F.N.38mm design
Conventional microscope objectives typically have a F.N. around 26mm, making it difficult to support large format area scan or line scan cameras, thus limiting inspection speed. Moritex's 10X microscope objective MOL10 and matching tube lens SOD-200-40M58 can both support 65M area scan and 8K5μm line scan cameras.
2. Good consistency from center to edge across the entire field
The MOL10 boasts a high Strehl ratio, delivering good imaging sharpness from the center to the edge. With its NA 0.3 design, the MOL10 demonstrates significantly better imaging sharpness starting slightly outward from the center compared to the NA 0.41 objective in the contrast test group, showcasing Moritex's exceptional lens process control and assembly capabilities.
